Okay, so a weird title and maybe not very creative but it's late and I am tired, so forgive me!
So here are some more sneak peaks I told you I would provide. Only 9 more days until you too can buy the new product in the new Fall/Winter Idea Book!
I have finally gotten around to completing some projects using the new CTMH paper packets that will be available beginning September 1st!! The packets I have used are Twitterpatted, Jingle and Sweet Home. You know, as with every new paper packet I look at it in the catalog and sometimes I am like "Ugh, I will NEVER use this paper" but then you get it and look at it in person and you fall in love with it! I think that is the case with these three papers. Well actually Jingle I liked even in the catalog but I was not sure about the other two until they arrived on my doorstep!
So, first off we have a card that I made for a swap. I wanted to do something a little different than a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 card so I did this 3 X 6 card that was from the new Wishes Card Confidence book. This one is Fancy Files. What is great is that Wishes (and the original Originals card confidence program) both have CD's so that you can easily print of templates for the cards! I used the Sweet Home paper packet and the new stamp set Welcome Home. I created my own pattered paper by stamping the buttercup insert with one of the stamps from this set. Gotta love the versatility!
Now on these next two I used the same stamp set, Ms. Holiday Cheer, but wanted to show how you could use it for two different "themes". And you know how I LOVE the "Ms" serious! Imagine my excitement when I saw there was a new one in this Idea Book!! It was like Christmas in August!
So, first off I wanted a "non holiday" approach so I used the Twitterpatted paper packet. Her coat and hat are done by paper piecing the pattered paper over the original stamped image. I was not sure where to place her and thought at first that placing her on the same background as the coat was too much but then once I placed her there I just loved how she kind of was hidden yet also kind of jumped out of the page!
On the second page I went with the typical holiday approach. I used the Jingle My Reflections Level 2 paper packet and also the Jingle Creative Basics which has coordinating paper to the Jingle packet AND also contains Juniper ribbon. On this one I paper pieced Tulip card stock for her coat and hat and used liquid applique w/a touch of glitter sprinkled on it for the for the rim of the hat and the trim on the coat. I LOVE how it turned out! You cannot see it too well in this picture but I used the new glitter rub ons for the wording "Winter Cheer" and the presents up above. As an added touch I used the new glitter brads along the ribbon for a final touch. Now to just find pictures to put on my two new pages! The same....yet so different!
