Sunshine, on my shoulders!

So here is another card I made for the swap I do with my friend. I used the Key to My Heart promotional paper packet (only available through January 31st! And it comes with an E size stamp set!) and the Ms. Gardener stamp set for the verbiage. I found this pattern out of the Papercrafts magazine. I used my friends crimper that I borrowed to give the ridged effect to the paper. The flowers are from the new Fancy Cuts Botanicals die cuts that coordinate perfectly with the colors in the Key to My Heart paper packet.

Will you be my valentine?

As I mentioned I am in love with all the new product from CTMH for Spring! Here is another new stamp set. This is part of the Ms. series. There is Ms. Gardener, Ms. On the Go and Ms. Sweetheart.

This is from the Ms. Sweetheart stamp set. I do a card swap with my friend each month and with Valentine's Day approaching I thought that one of the cards I would make would be one she could give to her fiance. And since I know men aren't too thrilled about pinks and purples and the usual V-Day colors I went with some colors from the new paper packet "That's Amore" which has a green color in it.

What I love most about these Ms. sets is that I can coordinate them to match whoever I am giving the card too. In this case my friend has dark hair so I made the Ms. to have dark hair as well!

Cupcake Sprinkles and Frosting Dreams

So I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this new stamp set from CTMH. I did not think I would use it too often but so far I have!

So I went over to my friends (and faithful upline!) house on Sunday for some mommy crop time and got around to not only doing pages for Shelby's birthday photos but actually stuck the photos on there as well! I am not completely down with these pages yet as I need to do journaling but I wanted to share these!

I used the Cupcake Sprinkles stamp set and the Daydream paper packet.

Card Crazy

So, silly me. I joined another swap. After I said I wouldn't! But this one is making 3 X 3 cards so thought, "This should go quickly" They are due January 16th so I have a little over a week, and I do basically have my ideas down. But man...I must 1) Quit joining swaps and 2) Stop procrastinating and putting things off until the last minute!

So I am making 7 cards (and have to make 6 of each card!) Here are the ones I have come up with so far. I used all new paper packets and new stamp sets (well one stamp set was not new!).

This first one is using the Daydream paper packet and the Cupcake Sprinkles My Acrylix stamp set. I stamped the cupcake cup on to a brown piece of paper and then scored the folds and folded the paper. For the cake portion I stamped a light image of the "frosting" and then used Liquid Applique and some pink sprinkles from my kitchen pantry! Then using my handy dandy bright orange heat gun (that my hubby bought me at Harbor Freight) I heated it and POOF! I added a red button for the cherry on top!

This second one is using the Emporium paper packet, the Colonial White Ribbon Rounds, and the Ms. Gardener My Acrylix stamp set. I used the chocolate Exclusive Ink marker and my water brush to paint in the watering can.

And this last one is using the Stardust paper packet. This is the one that I did not use a new stamp set on. I did not buy the set that coordinates with this paper those sets are a bit more boyish and I have a girl. But now that I have used this paper...I may have to buy some other stamp sets. I used the Under the Stars (retired) My Acrylix for the stars and the wording.

I have a few others that I did but I am having some training issues with Adobe Photoshop Elements! Hopefully I will work out those quirks soon and have more pictures for you!

Happy 2009!!

Well I was waiting to post until I had some AWESOME artwork to show off. You would think w/all this time off of work I would but....I don't. I do however have pic's of my newly redecorated craft/scrapbook room!! I have been wanting to do this and decided now was the time. So...this took place of any scrapbooking. Now that it is done though I can start working on some serious scrapbooking.

One of my goals for 2009 is to complete a lot more scrapbook pages (no more cards for awhile!). However I still have not decided what number I am looking at. I am thinking maybe 1 or 2 pages a week? That sounds pretty reasonable doesn't it? Or maybe not necessarily in that week but at least 10 pages a month? I don't know....Thoughts?

What else do I have planned for 2009 - well new rounds of CTMH hostess clubs of course! Those will start in February and I think will be every other month. I will then host workshops in the in between months. This new Idea Book is SO awesome!!

Check it out!
